You do need to be prepared for the long haul. We were without a kitchen for 8 weeks - mostly because we did do some work ourselves. Like the original 'demolition' and removal of all old cabinets and flooring. We also laid the tile floor so as weekend warriors it did take a bit longer. As for the installation and completion we had a great company that we worked with in the Philadelphia area Home Tech Renovations. They completed the project on schedule and worked with us every step of the way.
